Despite the many liberal reforms (Xiaoping) China remains a country with a strong central government, which supervises the activities of economic, political, and even the private lives of over a billion people. Ordinary citizen to change jobs, marry, go, must get a permission.
The overall standard of living rose, but the upgrade seems to extract the existing regional differences in China. With the opening of doors to the West has benefited the most southern part of China, with fertile soil and mild climate. Near the border with Hong Kong, established in special economic zone, employee wages are tax free (to the envy of other parts of China). However, in the northern and western provinces continue every day forces people to fight against the burdensome nature of the raw and barren land. Overall: changes in China have produced good results, the population would be better nourishing, more comfortable lives and are probably more happy than any of the past reforms, relations with capitalist countries are being constantly improved.
