The extraordinary attraction for the Chinese Confucius was due to several reasons. First, his personal honesty and integrity are above suspicion, on the other hand, was a man of moderate and experienced, so do not ask the people what they could achieve. Confucius insisted that people were righteous, but he did not expect that they would be saints. In his thinking manifested in the practical nature of the Chinese nation.
Perhaps this is the key to the riddle of why the ideas of Confucius in China enjoyed such huge success. Confucius did not require that the Chinese have changed their fundamental beliefs, but rather captures the deepest, the traditional ideals in a clear and convincing form. Perhaps no other thinker in history has created a philosophy so close to the basic views of their countrymen as Confucius. According to current Western standards of Confucianism, where the main emphasis on the responsibilities of individuals, not their right, it could seem very encouraging. As a philosophy of governance Confucianism turns out to be very effective in practice. In assessing China for their ability to maintain internal order and prosperity, it should be noted that for two thousand years was, in general, the best governed area of the world. The ideals of Confucius, so deeply rooted in Chinese culture, outside East Asia do not play a major role. Also in today's China, Confucianism was not directly enjoy high position, but the ideas of Confucius are so deeply rooted that no one should be surprised if in the near future will be the rebirth of Confucianism.
